Kara Bolton, Vice President

Kara relocated to the Chicago suburbs from her native state of Alabama 10 years ago along with her husband and two sons. She holds a Masters degree in Education from the University of South Alabama and worked as a Language Arts and Adult Education teacher before joining the lifetrients team in 2007.  Kara is actively involved in all aspects of the company from product development and marketing to customer relations and practitioner consultation. She enjoys traveling to conferences and meeting professionals and parents around the country. She loves the Chicago area aside from the chilly winters. On weekends, Kara can usually be found traveling between her boys’ many sports events, cooking for her family, or cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Bill Froese, Practitioner Consultant

Bill has been working with the lifetrients management group for nearly 20 years. Currently, he oversees our professional business, providing sales and product support to our pediatrician, nutritionist, speech therapist and other professional partners.  More recently, he has focused on expanding our international presence due to increasing demand for Speak outside of the U.S. He holds a B.S. Degree in Communication from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Northern Illinois University.  He is also a part-time college instructor in the areas of sales and marketing and information technology. Bill is an active member of the Exchange Club, a nationwide service organizations whose national project is the prevention of child abuse, serving on both the Lincolnland District and Foundation Boards, as well as the local Lake County Exchange Clubs Foundation Board. He is active with PADS, Habitat for Humanity and the Gurnee Days Corporation, a non-profit community-driven organization that sponsors a four-day hometown celebration. When not volunteering, Bill enjoys cycling and golf. He and his wife of nearly forty years are the proud parents of two and even prouder grandparents of three, and live in the far northern Chicago suburbs.

Karen Spieler, Parent Support Specialist

As lifetrients's Parent Support Specialist, Karen is actively involved with our parents - answering their questions, placing orders, and celebrating their children's successes.  In addition to assisting customers, she also runs the financial hardship and social media programs for the company. Karen is originally from New York and lived in New Jersey for 9 years before relocating to Chicago in 2001.  She currently lives in the Northwest suburbs with her husband and 3 children.  Karen has a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Binghamton in New York.  She has worked in the field of Cytogenetics and has been a substitute teacher for many years, working with special needs children.  Karen loves being a part of a team that provides a great product and hope and encouragement to families. She especially enjoys talking to customers and developing relationships with them so that they feel comfortable with our products. 

When she is not at work, you can find Karen at the hockey rink, soccer field, basketball court or lacrosse field.  When she has time, she loves to rollerblade and tend to her garden.

Joanna Szymoniak, Shipping Manager, Product Development and Quality Control

Joanna immigrated to the US from Poland nearly 20 years ago. She attended the University of Krakow where she earned a Bachelors of Science degree.She has always had a particular interest in geology and nutrition. She has been with lifetrients since it began in 2007. She has a vast knowledge of nutrition and supplements as a result of several years of work in the field. She oversees all shipping and billing for lifetrients and plays an essential role in development, manufacturing and testing of all products. 

 

Betsy Moreno, Office Manager

Betsy joined lifetrients in 2010.  Originally from the Philippines, she holds a Bachelor degree in Business Management from the University of the Philippines.  With more than 18 years of office management and accounting experience, Betsy manages all the accounting and human resources for lifetrients, in addition to overseeing a wide range of administrative functions.  An avid gardener and golfer, Betsy can be found on the links as often as the Chicago weather allows. She maintains ties to her heritage by staying active in several local Philippine organizations. She lives in the suburbs with her husband and son and has a newly married daughter in Chicago.
